**What time is check-in and check-out?**

Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Self-check-in details and your access code will be sent prior to arrival. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request depending on our turn schedule.

Where is Knotting Hill located?

Historic Knotting Hill is located at 26 Mason Road in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, situated on a private 2-acre setting just off the Lighthouse Route.

Is there parking on-site?

Yes, we offer ample private off-street parking on the property that comfortably accommodates multiple vehicles.

How many guests does Knotting Hill accommodate?

Knotting Hill comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests.

What outdoor features are available?

Guests have full access to our private 2-acre grounds, including a spacious outdoor deck and a private fire pit area.  The garage and attic are off limits to guests as they are for storage purposes only. 

What amenities are included with our stay?

House Policies

Are pets allowed?

We love our furry members too!  However, due to some guests having significant pet allergies, we're unable to allow pets at Knotting Hill.  The only exception is for registered service animals, with the appropriate documentation 

Is smoking permitted?

Knotting Hill is a strictly non-smoking and non-vaping property inside the home. 

Are parties or events permitted?

To respect our surrounding neighborhood, large parties and large events are strictly prohibited, unless the owners have approved it. 

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation before 14 days prior to arrival will result in a full refund.  

Check-Out & Waste Sorting

What do we need to do with garbage and recycling at check-out?

Mahone Bay follows strict local recycling and organics guidelines. Before checking out at 11:00 AM, please sort your waste as follows:

Organics: Place all food scraps and organic waste in the green bin located at the end of the driveway.

Garbage: Place non-recyclable garbage in a black bag inside the black bin located at the end of the laneway.

Recycling (Containers): Place plastics, cans, and glass inside a blue bag and leave it in the recycling container by the front door.

Recycling (Paper/Cardboard): Place paper, boxboard, and cardboard inside a clear bag and leave it in the recycling container by the front door.
